the same when i say i'm not a fan of our recent centrist prime minster -- people read that and decide it's full blown hate

I can't tell if that means they think i spend my time photoshopping nooses on her photos or if they just use the word "hate" for any slight disappointment in someone's performance.

I starting to think it's a third option, that they use their unwavering fandom to signal group belonging, and that's the most important thing.
