I’m ready for #linuxconfau - I’ll be doing AV for the Yuma Theatre stage (that’s the kernel mini conf today).
6 monthly self assessment time at work.
Things I do well: write policies and answer questions in a way that satisfies PCI-DSS auditors.
Things I need to do better: be less stressed. Have less desire to scream. Take more naps.
(I struggle with not being either self deprecating or not taking it seriously.)
LGBT rights, Poland, please boost

Today, the Polish parliament will read a proposed law that makes it illegal to "promote homosexuality", including - I am not exaggerating - pretty much ANY positive talk of LGBT+ people and their rights in public settings.
And foreign media seem almost entirely silent on this.
The law was drafted a while ago, but didn't get into the Parliament for procedural reasons.
It EXPLICITLY bans e.g.:
Being woken up by a PagerDuty alarm + monitoring another incident + 4 hours of leave that need to be taken before the 3rd = I could take the whole day off today.
Except I need to interview a candidate at 1pm (excited about that actually) and prep work for a new team member in the US so they have what they need for tomorrow.
Sigh. (I’m not complaining, I knowingly signed up for this)
