RT It's a HUGE problem and not at all Joey's fault, there are a ton of really, really dodgy characters pitching Far-UVC solutions right now and it's really been hurting deployment. I'm going to be testing fixtures and making a list of reliable manufacturers.

2. Upper Room UVGI - the real deal. It can add 12-24 eACH. It reduced measles outbreaks by 75%. If we want to go all out on mitigating airborne spread, this technology is needed.

He doesn't just look like Arnold J Rimmer. I have to mute the TV when he's on.

What do you think? Monty Python or Red Green?

My mate is putting on an evening for Pasifika people who want to get into the *technical* side of IT.

If you know any Pasifika finishing high school, or looking for a career change, keen on tech and want to hang out, ask questions, eat food, get them to register here:

Please boost so it reaches the right people, and if you see a post about it on Twitter, could you RT there? Thanks!

One of the things I am really appreciating with FoundryVTT is the ability to build character sheets that dynamically cross-reference other sheets or journal pages.

For a squad or mission-based RPG, like the one I'm building, this allows for some really useful holistic views.

Consumer NZ launches petition for state-owned wholesaler, to break the supermarket duopoly.

Sewing pile finally got high enough that I set up the sewing machine.

Good day for a few friendly reminders:

1. Putting topics behind a content warning helps people manage their own stress.

2. Putting uspol in the CW, or #uspol in the text, helps non-US users filter out posts that aren't relevant to them.

3. Setting post visibility to Unlisted or Followers Only can help keep some Home timelines on-topic.

4. Roughly 200,000 of us have been here less than a week, and they're acclimating to a new set of conventions, so let's try to stay constructive.

🎨 A painting/Fediverse experimentation:

With percentages of Red, Green and Blue, you can obtain a precise RGB color definition.

So, please vote for one or more color channel and with the mix of all the votes, I'll challenge myself to paint a fantasy landscape, using the result as the dominant color.

(PS: I'm doing full time inking/penciling on episode 37 and a bit of colored art cool-down would be great! Also I need a bit of 'Fedifun' this week. Thanks for your votes and boosts! )

Yes, I'm dreaming big, but I'll judge policies by how far they move us in this direction.

The minimum wage should be the living wage.

The minimum wage for teachers, nurses, and sanitation workers should be set as a *multiple* of the minimum wage.

There should be a maximum wage (say, 20x minimum wage).

The benefit should pay the same as minimum wage. Destroy exploitative industry and give people the power to walk away from abusive situations.

#RightToRepair will become an absolute necessity in the near future. Having all the supply chain completely fucked up and prices all over increasing like never before, people will need to learn how to do stuff themselves instead of pulling a credit card.

I've been running a Babylon 5 campaign as the next playtest iteration and it is going SO smoothly. I'm really pleased at how well my little spy RPG adapts to a sci-fi setting.

It's Saturday afternoon (NZ time)/Friday evening (USA time) if you want a look in.
