what a year! thank you so much for your support. in 2021 we built and shipped 100s of open hardware laptops, a first batch of keyboards, more zz9000s and developed new products. we will take a little break and then make sure everyone who is still waiting will get their MNT gear.

In fact, try instead to start your note-taking practice with the cheapest deck of index cards you can find—or even a budget A5 notebook—and a box of pencils. Grow out of the cheap analog tools before you resort to the hyper-complex digital tools.

Like I said: it’s writing. That’s writing. That’s what writing does—that’s the utility it provides to civilisation. Depending on your personality and experience, you might even get most of the benefits of any of these fancy note-taking apps just by writing about your work regularly. Even if you’re doing it longhand, with a pencil, on a cheap-ass legal pad.
